Oswald State Park near Cannon Beach, Oregon |
A very minimal, simple weekend out with folks who enjoy the surf of the great PNW. The focus will be surfing, and this will be a “BYOG” type trip (bring your own gear) to keep costs down, but will have an emphasis on hanging out at meals provided and just relaxing between sessions. Oswald State Park is near Cannon Beach and is one of the more scenic places on the Oregon Coast. Campsites are first come, first serve so it is the intent to get started early on Friday and make it down by early afternoon. No lessons will be provided, and all gear and rental is on your own. IF YOU PLAN TO MEET US THERE - PLEASE SELECT THE PAY OFFLINE OPTION AND READ WHERE TO SEND THE CHECK TO COVER FOOD COSTS.

Moderate – Hard. You should be able to swim well and have stamina in the water. No lifeguards are on duty and the currents can be strong – especially when the tide is going out! You should be in fair shape cardio wise and be able to paddle for awhile. |

IF you are renting equipment, please rent the night before for the weekend and have gear when we meet. More info concerning this at http://www.cheka-looka.com. Wetsuit rentals through Cheka-Looka are $15/day and include booties and gloves. Board rentals are $15/day. There are other surf shops in the area, but these guys are very reasonable and rent for the weekend with night before pickup. |
